A Taste of (butter+chocolate) Heaven

























Let me introduce you to the world's best comfort food. When I was in Santa Barbara a few weeks ago for a weekend retreat to my best friend's house, we went to a little café (actually idyllic- flower pots, the works) called Renaud's. They supposedly have the best chocolate croissants anywhere in the U.S., which is surprisingly hard to hard-core believe. All my doubts were immediately doused in warm, crispy, rich butter and chocolate (if you ever go to Renaud's and get one of these pieces of heaven, it will feel as if you'd accidentally swallowed a chocolate cloud). I simply have to say this is the best french croissant I've ever tasted, and I'm sure it will live up to most everyone's standards. xox
