I love lace paired with anything and everything- neon, leopard, decco sparkle heels. It simply makes everything girlier in a good way! You can wear a lace camisole over a plain solid t-shirt and it will instantly add flare and vintage inspiration. Always think of lace as a versatile so it will be easier to wear with everything. xox

4 Weekend Wears

Here are four cool, unique outfits to wear out on the weekend, and the pieces are all standout! xox

Outfit #1. Layer a cute flowy lace tank over a printed cardigan and pair with cool booties and vintage denim shorts.

Outfit #2. Go all 80s with a neon shirt untucked over a floral skirt and throw on a denim jacket. Doc martens are a must.

Outfit #3. A soft cotton striped shirt over a striped dress and coral sandals feels perfectly beachy!

Outfit #4. A tiered floral top over a lace tank with cord shorts and a vest is classic cool.

Puppy Luv

My puppy Sparkle is my best friend (really). She is my favorite little thing in the whole world and I love her so much. It's even ok if she's my valentine for the next few years... Just kidding but I just felt her cuteness should be shared! xox ♡♡

Juicy Juice

The best way to start the morning is with a n invigorating, fresh, organic juice. I always have oranges around the house, so instead of buying canned orange juice or grapefruit juice, I'll squeeze my own. Store it in a pretty jar and garnish with a sprig of mint. xox♡♡

Mirror, Mirror

Everyone has that moment where the lighting is great, his/her face looks proportional, and no one is looking, so the perfect opportunity for a shrewd selfie is presented. I had this moment today, and am glad to say I'm not ashamed of my overly un-modelly face, or the fact that there are two of me. To create this selfie masterpiece, I used the app Mirrorgram and then added a filter on the app Picsart to create the perfect vintagy lighting. xox♡♡♡

I usually don't eat a big breakfast because I have such a large dinner and then don't finish fully digesting (this could be an excuse, I don't know). Anyway, I couldn't resist this decadent honey maple French toast. What's not to give? ♡♡ xox

A French braid is a casual, cute way to fix a bad hair day. Take three pieces from your hairline and gradually gather more hair from the sides of you scalp while doing a regular braid. Tie with a ribbon. ♡♡♡ xox

A Taste of (butter+chocolate) Heaven

Let me introduce you to the world's best comfort food. When I was in Santa Barbara a few weeks ago for a weekend retreat to my best friend's house, we went to a little café (actually idyllic- flower pots, the works) called Renaud's. They supposedly have the best chocolate croissants anywhere in the U.S., which is surprisingly hard to hard-core believe. All my doubts were immediately doused in warm, crispy, rich butter and chocolate (if you ever go to Renaud's and get one of these pieces of heaven, it will feel as if you'd accidentally swallowed a chocolate cloud). I simply have to say this is the best french croissant I've ever tasted, and I'm sure it will live up to most everyone's standards. xox

My successful weekend loot: All, Chanel

We all are familiar with that one random weekend in the middle of dreary March where you say "Screw this" and head speeding erratically to the nearest Bloomingdales. This particular variation of scenarios happened to me just this past weekend, where I made a beeline for the beauty floor, and had to drop my head when all those nice ladies sprayed perfumes in my face stood pitifully beside their overpriced counters, coated decoratively with murky rosemary and cucumber makeup removers and lash-growing mascara. Instead, I went to the Chanel beauty counter, and went officially crazy. I tried on all the candy colored lip glosses (they are SO shimmery and lucious), applied and reapplied 8 different foundations (I left looking like Snooki), and 'extended each and every lash' with the blackest of black mascaras. Meanwhile, a nice 20-something girl desperately grabbed products for me out of a million different compartments. By the end of my day, I had 4 lacquered midnight onyx bags swinging happily on each arm. That is what I call one successful weekend (do NOT try this. I spent over $300 and had to dread the consequences as soon as I left the store.) xox

My muse/best friend Julia wears a casual, mix and match denim ensemble at school. Combining a denim shirt of a dark hue over a pair of lightly distressed jeans makes the perfect contrast. And of course, the boots add texture and coolness. Top off the look with a hat- it makes for an effortless and chic school look! xox

A Warm Welcome

I'd like to begin my blog (essentially a quintessential mash-up of my day to day life, which includes food, school, photography, and of course fashion) with a nice comforting photograph of my dinner previously this night. I'd say everyone would agree that food, most importantly sushi, for that matter, is the friendliest greeting to a new blog, and a welcoming gesture to readers. I will state now that I am a dedicated fan of sushi, and most of my culinary lifestyle primarily revolves around sliced, raw fish. I hope now we are all on comfortable terms, and you may talk to me without hesitation and/or regret. Thanks for reading!
