Lace and Lace-Ups

Alberta Ferretti Fall 2015

Valentino Fall 2015

Chloé Fall 2015

The LWD (little white dress) has yet to become your new best friend as spring is rapidly approaching and soon (soon! I promise!), the snow blanketing the entire eastern coast of the United States will melt gracefully away and all will be warm again (as warm as it can be for the first few weeks of spring). Exhibit A-- these two ensembles from Alberta Ferretti, Valentino, and Chloé are almost identical in nature, from the delicate white lace sheath to the nude colored gladiator lace up sandals. But this is no form of plagiarism-- the look is just so simple and chic, that two acclaimed designers decided to make TWO of these graceful little outfits, so you may be given the option of which you would wear taking a stroll by the Pacific (or Atlantic. Or a river.) Joyeux Printemps!!

A Parisian Day in L.A.

My favorite days in sunny-side up Los Angeles, California, are those that include brisk wind, a shining sun, eggshell blue skies, and of course, food. My inspiration today is a photograph of new style-setter stunning sisters, Gigi and Bella Hadid. Their custom Calvin Klein Collection pastel pink and blue outfits are so feminine yet modern, and I decided to take some photographs to fit in with the theme. First, I stopped off at Caffé Luxxe in Brentwood for a beautiful latte, and then straight across town to Sqirl (funny little name it has..) for the BEST toast I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. It is a thick slice of burnt brioche toast, slathered in creamy ricotta and homemade jam. Cried tears of happiness as I took my first bite. After that, I headed across the street to Sweet Lady Jane Bakery, which is an LA must hit stop. There I got a slice of the triple berry cake, which is just the right about of sweet. Lastly, I took a picture of this chic Paris-inspired mural on a wall on Melrose. Always a fabulous day in sunny L.A! Xx

A Little Black and Gray for Your Valentine's Day

Boots and Hat: Rag and Bone Bag: Coach Romper: Intermix Eyeshadows: Bobbi Brown Bracelet and Ring: Marc Jacobs

It is a universal norm to wear colors that imply love on Valentine's Day, most often, red. I, for one, say DO AS THE ROMANS DO!! I have a good hunch that the Romans aren't fans of dressing up in slinky lingerie and eating cute little SweetHearts, but, we can still go against our personal visions of what we should dress like on Valentine's Day. This year, try smoky grays, sooty blacks, and creamy whites, and don't forget the pop of solid gold! The ring is my favorite aspect of the outfit because it looks very natural and rugged, while still making you look put together and classy. Have a great love-filled Valentine's Day!! Xo
