Three Must Have Summer Looks

Number 1
The Breezy Bun at Dolce and Gabbana F/W Resort 2014
This soft chignon that hairstylist Guido created for the Dolce and Gabbana F/W 2014 show brings back a quintessential simplicity that we have long awaited to quench the lack of effortlessness in style today. Guido's goal was to use as little product as possible, because "Stefano and Domenico don't like the look of it". Touché. He first prepped the hair with a lightweight thickening spray (Redken Body Full) before blowing it out smooth. He then spritzed in some dry shampoo (Redken Pillow Proof). Next he eased hair into a middle part with his fingers, braided the ends and twisted the braid into a chignon. Lastly, he inserted bobby pins to hold the hairstyle in place, and pull out a few strands of hair to make it a bit messy. "It's very feminine, it's very soft, and it's very desirable," said Guido.

 Number 2

Feathery, Doll Lashes at Gucci F/W 2014
Long eyelashes are, to me, the most desirable feature because they essentially define the face. They represent femininity and it is important to play them up to their best ability. At Gucci, Twiggy-inspired lashes debuted with natural, nearly makeup-free skin to balance the boldness of the eyes. Try this look by applying false lashes to your bottom waterline, and just adding mascara to your top lashes to make your eyes pop.

 Number 3

Bold Eyebrows and Surfer Hair at Phillip Lim F/W 2014
Another covetable look of the season that we all secretly yearn to pull off is the "Surfer". Perfect, tan, makeup-free skin, and wet, tousled straight-from-the-sea hair. At Phillip Lim, this is perfectly achieved, with the bold brow as the focal point. Try this out on yourself by filling in your brows with a clay tinged powder shadow to give your face a strong look.
