Abbot Kinney Part 4- Alternative

Jacket: Free People, Jeans: Vintage Levi's, Shirt: Forever 21, Sunglasses: Alternative

It's the first night of Hanukkah, and from here on out, the holiday spirit officially commences (for me, at least. It actually began when Kost 103.5 started playing Christmas music before Thanksgiving.) Tonight will be filled with frying potato pancakes and opening presents. What could be better than that? I am currently reminiscing about Fall, when here in LA for the first time, the maple trees that line my street displayed a vibrant spectrum of reds, oranges, and yellows. Here is the epitope of a perfect fall outfit, in my opinion, because it obviously does not get too chilly here in sunny SoCal, but the leather jacket and thick jean pants are good for keeping out the cold air. Happy Holidays, everyone! What are you doing over Winter Break? Xx

Abbot Kinney Part 3- Tumbleweed and Dandelion

It is now winter, and here in Los Angeles, nearly December, it drizzled steadily the entire day- the polar vortex is approaching! I am currently nostalgic for summer, when I could leisurely stroll along Abbot Kinney in Venice, and could wear my skin bearing Topshop top and skirt dress. I will miss you summer, but I'm ready for winter!

Joyeuses Fêtes! (Happy Holidays!)

Stella and Dot monogrammed bracelet; Altuzarra for Target heels; Frends x Baublebar headphones; Ciaté nail polish ornament; Kate Spade iphone case; Momofuku Milk Bar crack pie mix; Kate Spade beanie; Anthropologie initial mug; Jo Malone holiday gift set; James Turrell coffee table book; Dipytique winter candle

It's the holiday season, the most festive time of the year. Now is the time when Christmas enthusiasts and Thanksgiving lovers put on their holiday sweaters and everyone is merry. My personal favorite moment of the holiday season is Christmas day, when, as a Jew, my family and I go to the movies and have lots of Chinese food. What's your favorite part of the holidays?

Eugenia Kim "René Magritte" Beanie

    RYN WEAVER OCTAHATE
Ryn Weaver's Octahate

Recently, I visited Chicago and the rainbow hued leaves and brisk, windy air made me nostalgic for actual Fall (living in California, changes in season are nonexistent). While there, I visited a vast exhibit on René Magritte, the famed French surrealist protégé to Salvador Dali, and was in awe of his "Ceci N'est Pas Une Pipe" painting. I had to pick up this Eugenia Kim beanie in the museum gift shop, to pay my stylish respects to Magritte's revolutionary artistic ability. It helped keep my ears warm against the wind too! I also ran across the city endlessly plugged into this catchy song by Ryn Weaver- it got me excited for the rest of the "summer in fall" in LA!

Abbott Kinney, Venice, Part 2

Free People Jacket, Urban Outfitters Shirt, O'Neill Shorts,
Frye Boots

Gratitude Café on Abbott Kinney is one of the best restaurants in LA. The organic, fresh vegan food never disappoints, and the vibe of all the Venice hipsters radiates a positive energy throughout the café. The infamous mural on the side of the restaurant is equally as hipster and cool, portraying a hybrid wolf unicorn. When in Venice, take a picture!

Fancy Pants

There's nothing better than a great pair of boyfriend jeans, but they can get a big generic after the constant wear and tear they undergo. This is why this pair of boyfriend jeans from Ralph Lauren's more affordable, more wearable line Denim & Supply is the perfect upgrade from plain old boyfriend jeans. Just as versatile, the lace panelling adds a bit of pop. Pair with some espadrilles, and these jeans are your new best friend.

Abbot Kinney, Venice, Part 1- Tom's Shoes

Vintage Jacket, JBrand Jeans, Topshop Loafers, Pam&Gela Shirt, Vintage Opal Ring, 14 Karats Love Ring, Forever 21 Knuckle Ring, Urban Outfitters Leather Bracelet, Vintage Silver Bracelet, Madewell Hair Tie

For those of you who have never been to Venice, California, and strolled down the famed Abbot Kinney that is teeming with hipsters of all shapes and sizes, it's time to book your visit. Recently, I did a beautiful photo shoot with Gremly Media, who snapped away artistic angles and lighting as we made our trek to different stores along Abbot Kinney, each representing a different aspect to the charm of the neighborhood. I had never been to the Tom's shoes flagship store, a rustic hideaway filled with odds and ends, an aromatic coffee bar and a whole cabana filled with, what else, Tom's shoes. There were tribal prints and delicate lace cutouts and straw patterned shoes, all which can be legitimately worn with jeans and a tank top and then a little black dress. When you go, make sure to bring your dog- they have a Fido-friendly oasis in the back, Tom's style!
